Admissions Process at Lighthouse School

At Lighthouse School, we are committed to helping children with learning differences, autism, ADHD, and other learning variabilities reach their full potential. Our admissions process is designed to help us get to know your child and determine if Lighthouse is the right fit for your family.

  • Step 1: Inquiry & Initial Contact

    Start by reaching out to us via our inquiry form on our website! At this point, you will be able to schedule an initial tour or phone call! 

  • Step 2: Parent Meeting & School Tour

    We will schedule a time for you to visit Lighthouse School for a private tour of our campus. During this visit, you’ll meet with our leadership team to discuss your child’s strengths, challenges, and educational history, and learn more about how Lighthouse might be able to support them

  • Step 3: Submit Application Materials

    After the tour, families who wish to move forward will complete an application packet, which includes:
    - Application form
    - Recent evaluations or diagnostic reports (if applicable)
    - School records, IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
    - Teacher or therapist recommendations (optional but helpful)

  • Step 4: Student Visit or Assessment

    We will invite your child for a student visit day or individualized assessment session at Lighthouse. If you are already aware or have suspicions your child will need ABA therapy support during academic learning, we will schedule a visit day and behavior evaluation at the same time. This gives our team an opportunity to observe your child’s learning style, academic skills, behavior support, and social needs in a supportive environment.

  • Step 5: Admissions Review

    Our admissions team will carefully review all application materials, records, and observations from the visit. We’ll determine whether our program is the right fit to support your child’s learning journey.

  • Step 6: Enrollment Decision

    Following the admissions review, we will contact you to discuss the outcome. If accepted, we will provide an enrollment packet with tuition information, start dates, and next steps to officially welcome your child to Lighthouse School.

  • Step 7: Family Onboarding

    Once enrolled, your family will receive onboarding materials and begin working with our team to ensure a smooth transition for your child into our school community.
